Internet For Only $10 a Month!

The internet service provider, Comcast, has just announced a new internet plan that they call “Internet Essentials” which is a new option for those people who can not afford the original $30 a month plan.  The plan will only cost the customer $10 a month and this will give them speeds of 1.5mbps download and 384 kbps upload.

This offer is only available in 39 states and people have to be eligible in order to receive the offer.

  • One of the children has to be enrolled in the National School Lunch Program
  • The family has to live in one of the 39 states that plan is offered in
  • The family can not have had internet service 90 days prior to joining the program
  • They can’t have any overdue Comcast bills or unreturned equipment

The deal will begin in September to start off the 2011-2012 school year.  Comcast will also be offering vouchers towards a budget computer to go along with the internet.

  1. No…. I am offering low cost custom computers 😦 This is the issue I did a report about last semester, that people are being limited in bandwith. This is a great use of the principal of “you get what you pay for.” Way to go Camcast 🙂
