Farmville, Step Aside

Farmville, Facebook’s number one addicting game is now going to have to step down from it’s throne and make room for Zynga’s newest game, Pioneer Trail.

Some of you might relate this game to a game that we all used to play in our younger years called The Oregon Trail.  Pioneer Trail has the same concept as users are given a covered wagon and three different maps (Beaver Valley, High Plains, and Avalanche Pass) with routes to head out west.  Initially, players will have to find four other friends to join them on their journey.  Each one of these four players will have a selective skill whether it be hunting, fishing, or medicine in order to help make the journey on the Pioneer Trail a success.

Zynga says that the game takes a lot of strategy as players will need to forage for food, and be responsible for purchasing the right supplies for when a wagon wheel breaks down or another player becomes ill or even to make trades with other players along the trail.

According to Zynga, each adventure on average takes three weeks.
