iPhone Hacker Hired at Apple
Recent news says that Apple has hired yet another well known member from the iPhone jailbreaking community. The new employee, Nicholas Allegra, is better known for his easy to use jailbreaking website, JailBreakMe which made the process of jailbreaking your iPhone or iPod as easy as 1 2 3.
Allegra was one of the more “well known” members of the jailbreaking community often finding new security vulnerabilities in Apple’s iOS software making hacking your iPod, iPhone, and iPad a lot easier.
Normally, Apple strongly discourages jailbreaking because of it making and downloading pirating applications easy for anyone which of course cuts down Apple’ s profits.
Recently, Apple seems to be taking more of an interest in the hacking community as this is not the first jailbreak community member that Apple has hired. This past June, Apple hired Peter Hajas, the creator of a popular jailbreak app known as Mobile Notifier.
Anyways, it will be interesting to see what changes this band of “hacker” employees brings to the Apple community.
