Samsung Galaxy R Announced Today

Early this morning, Samsung announced that they were extending their technology partnership with Nvidia from tablets to smartphones with the creation of their newest smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy R.  The monbile business manager from Nvidia says that the Galaxy R will show off Tegra’s multimedia power.  The phone is now available but only in Sweden.  No word has been said when it will be available in North America or Europe.

The Galaxy R will have a 4.19 inch touch screen display (800×400 resolution), run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and will include the same processor that is in the Galaxy Tab 10.1, a dual-core Nvidia Tegra processor.  It will also come with 8GB of storage (expandable to 32GB), 1080p HD video playback, and 720p HD video capture.  The Galaxy R is only 131 grams and less than 1cm thick!

Have We Found the Samsung Galaxy S II?

New images from South Korea listing specs of a new LTE phone named “Celox”, have just surfaced.  No word has been said when the handset will hit the market but it is expected soon.

The “Celox” has a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 16GB of internal memory (expandable to 32GB), and runs on Android’s Gingerbread operating system.  The phone also has a 4.5 inch touch screen display, a 8 megapixel rear facing camera and a 2 megapixel front facing camera.

This is all that we know of so far but hopefully more information will be leaked soon.

New Google Nexus S is here!

Earlier today, the new Google phone, the Nexus S,  was launched.  It seems as though many people were surprised that it was announced in only a simple blog post. Many, including me, thought the phone would be announced on December 7th when Google releases its first operating system, ChromeOS. Never the less, the phone is here and will be available for purchase at your local BestBuy store for $529 or $199 with a new T-Mobile two-year contract.

The phone itself will have a 4 inch Super AMOLED touch screen.  With a 800×400 screen resolution. This itself is a difference as that many of today’s smartphones have only a 3.5 inch screen.  But anyways, the phone will also include a 5 megapixel camera with an LED flash. There will also be a 3.5mm headphone jack for all of your music listening needs.

As for inside the phone, the Nexus S will run on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) on a 1GHz processor making this the first phone to have/run on Android 2.3.   Besides this, the Nexus S will come with 16GB of flash memory and will come installed with Adobe Flash.  The phone, like other smartphones, will have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS on it as well as all of the apps your heart could possibly desire.

Overall the Nexus S looks to be a good phone.  I think that people were expecting a lot more but none the less, it looks pretty good.

Samsung Fascinate Unboxing with review

Hey guys, this is just an update to my Samsung Fascinate post because last week, I received the phone and I will be doing a unboxing video and a full review on my youtube channel.  The videos will be below, check them out!

Verizon’s Samsung Fascinate interrupts Droid lineup

Recently announced, the new Samsung Fascinate is going to be available for public pick-up later this week (or tomorrow online) for Verizon customers.  It will be sold for $199 with a 2-year contract.  It will be hard for the phone to fit into the Android “lineup” but by looking at the specs, it does a nice job of fitting in perfectly.

The Fascinate is part of the Galaxy S lineup and the first of its kind to come to Verizon.  Like I said, it does fit in very well. The phone will have a 4 inch touch screen with 2GB of internal storage and the customer will have the option of upgrading it with a 16GB MicroSD memory card.  The Fascinate’s 1500 mAh battery is said to be about equivalent to the Motorola Droid x battery meaning that it should definitely last you a decent amount of time.

The phone itself looks to be amazing.  It will have a 1GHz  processor making navigating the phone quick and easy.  Adding to that, the Fascinate will have high end 3D graphics and video acceleration bringing multimedia and gaming to a whole new level for customers.

Also, the phone will include a 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and will also allow the user to record video in 720p!  The Fascinate will also have Wi-Fi and Bluetooth capability and will also include a 3.5mm headphone jack for all of your music and media playing needs.

To me, this phone looks great and I think it will fit in with the Android “family” perfectly (considering it is better than some Android phones).
