The popular smartphone manufacturer, HTC, has been inviting a handful of press people and companies to a mysterious media event being held in New York City on September 20th.
It seems that HTC is planning on introducing a set of announced and unannounced Windows Phone and Android devices that could get release dates this year. Some of these upcoming phones include the HTC Vigor, and the recently leaked HTC Ruby (also known as the Amaze 4G). Another phone that might be joining the other phones is the HTC Holiday, which is a dual-core LTE Android smartphone.
The HTC Vigor is, in our opinion, the possible scene stealer knowing that there’s a possibility that the device will hit stores this month according to the semi-accurate roadmap provided by IGN. It is worth noting that the document predicted the September 8 launch of the Motorola Droid Bionic, but failed in the Samsung Stratosphere release date department. The HTC Vigor recently passed FCC so it is highly possible that the phone will get a release date not later than October, which is the “heat month” of the smartphone market, knowing that the iPhone 5 is rumored to hit the US market in mid-October.
A string of pictures of T-Mobile’s upcoming beast of a smartphone, the HTC Amaze 4G (also known as the HTC Ruby), by the Thai Android site, DroidSans.
Not too much is known about the phone but what we do know, makes the phone a beast. The phone will run off of a whopping 1.5 Ghz dual-core processor and a large 1GB of RAM. Other features on the phone include a 4.3 inch HD display, 8 megapixel rear-facing camera, and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.
The pictures look impressive along with the specs but T-Mobile has yet to actually announce this phone as part of their “lineup” so it looks like we’ll have to wait and see what the final product looks like.
